How can they increase their placement in the Google search engine results? Using Google AdWords is a great place to start. However, if you want to reach the top of the Google search engine then you should engage in a Blog on your website.

Blogs have become very popular in the past year. Blogs are a great way to post content to your website that allows readers to post responses and comments. Blogs can be used as a testing center for your market research. You can ask people what type of products and services they want. People become involved in the process by submitting their opinions. People love to submit their ideas and become an active participant in the product creation process.

How do Blogs increase your placement in the Google search engine results? First, the Blogs increase the amount of content on your website. Google loves to see content. The more content you have the better. If you have a great deal of content then Google will deem you an "authority site" on the topic. Google thinks that you are providing a great service rather just having a page full of advertisements.

Plus, in Blogs the content is not only created by you, but the Blog readers as well. Keywords are often present in Blog messages which helps Google placement. You can also turn your Blog postings into an eBook in the future. Your Blog provides free content while your EBook will make money.

Blogs sound like the way to go, but what Blog program should I use? The top Internet Marketers in the world recommend WordPress. This is available at http://www.wordpress.org. Caution - use only the WordPress software and not the hosting service they provide. Instead, get your own domain and hosting account. Install it on your hosting account. Then you are ready to Blog.

Another advantage of WordPress is that it is a top pick for many search engines. WordPress creates site maps and automatically pings the search engines each time you update your Blog. The best news is that WordPress is FREE.

Make Blogging a part of your daily schedule and your Google search engine placement will raise dramatically. What are you waiting for?

For more information on this or similar subjets, please visit our weblog at http://globalalliamceteam.wordpress.com or visit us at http://www.makemoneytour.com

Peter Rosen - Global Alliance Team
http://www.makemoneytour.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Peter_Rosen

http://bisnisnet.blogspot.com
TopNetworkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06111479608837488698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-590121818401992080.post-1658492860110239232007-12-19T17:17:00.000+07:002007-12-28T17:41:39.081+07:00Boost Your Website TrafficEvery online business needs traffic in order to thrive and survive. In order to boost your website traffic you need to know everything about your website from the traffic coming in, to the details regarding at what point on your site users are leaving. In other words, you want to know what their exit point is so that you can make your website material more appealing.

After you've studied and understand what your visitors are viewing and how your web traffic is behaving, now it's time to do what you can to boost your website traffic. First of all, using tools such as free website counters can be a great way to know how much traffic is making its way to your website. Through a hit counter you will be able to see reports that give you some information on the types of visitors you are receiving. A hit counter on each page lets you know which of your pages gets more views.

There are also reports that are available from your web hosting service. They provide reports that give you a summary of the traffic that passes through your web pages. Even a minimum amount of information can be enough to let you know what you must do to boost your website traffic.

Once you have the data, its time to implement the methods that will boost your website traffic. One way to help boost your traffic is to Google your keywords and see which websites show up in the top ten that are not your direct competitors, email them and see if they are interested in doing a link exchange with you. You won't know if that is something they are interested in unless you try. You want as many inbound links from other websites as you can get.

Another way is by writing articles about a particular product or service offered on your website and linking keywords relative to that product or service to your website. There are hundreds of article directories online where you can post your articles. The links from posting your articles are scanned by web spiders that will visit your site and index its pages within search engine directories. This also brings those who read the articles to your site when they click the links.

Posting in forums is another great way in which could boost your website traffic. When you post about your products and services, forum members will begin to see you as an expert in your field. It is a good way to establish yourself. One thing to remember though is don't blatantly advertise yourself or your business, you will lose credibility if you do.

So you have read about ways in which you can monitor and construct your site to boost web traffic. You can also embed certain keywords within the code on your page so that they are picked up by spiders when they visit your page. A lot of times it depends on how your website is indexed within search engines and also in how you advertise your site as to how much traffic you are going to receive, but either way the most important thing is knowing how it is performing so that you know what you have to do to boost your website traffic.

Carole Gardner is a Successful Level 3 Coastal Vacations Director. Nowadays, you can work at home while making money with your blog.

You probably have a million thoughts racing through your head about the best way to create a blog income. Don’t worry, though. This is perfectly normal. The sad part is, many people give up before they find out how to crate a money making blog. Here are some very simple, yet effective, tools you will need to get well on your way to creating that blog income you have wanted for so long.

Creating a blog income is a lot simpler than you think. The great thing about blogs is that blog websites like WordPress and Blogger are loved by Google. Setting your blog account up at one of these sites will get you the much needed search engine traffic that you will need. You don’t have to know anything about Web Design and you need to know even less about Programming. Everything on those ends are taken care of for you by the blog site.

Next, you will want to concentrate on subjects that you have some sort of passion for. The reason you want to do this, is because thoughts will flow to you more freely. Once you are an expert at blogging, you can then branch out into diffeent subjects with ease, even if don’t know much about them at the moment. If you sound like a true expert in your blog posts, readers will want to back for more, making your blog income skyrocket. This is what you want, right? Of course you do.

Writing can be very fun, but it can be a real pain in the beginning if you on;t know how to do it correctly. The easiest way to get over that hump is to browse dozens of blogs that pertain to the subject of your blog. Study what the big guns are doing. See what their writing styles are and see why people keep wanting to come back to their blog for more information.

The easiest way to make a blog income is by using ad companies like Google Adsense to post relevant ads on the sides of your blog. The more competitive the market, the more money you will receive when people click on those ads. As your readers start to stack up, your blog income will keep climbing. The next step in creating a blog income has to do with advertising products on your blog. This is done by writing reviews about products or services, or telling people that a certain product is a great tool to get started on the subject you are bloging about. One thing to you will need to do is actually try to product or service out first. This will do two things. First, it will make your product review sound like it is coming from a true expert. Secondly, it will give your readers incentive to always come back to your blog, because you are showing them exactly how to do what they want to do and where to get it. If your product review is truthful, then you will gain a lot of readers trust for a very long time, increasing your blog income at the same time. That is the ultimate goal, right?

None of this is rocket science, yet so many people give up before even trying out some of the simplest techniques to start their blog income. If you are one of these people, or even if you are a new blogger that needs some direction, follow some simple steps, do your research, and you will create a blog income in not time.

Ready to blog? Then you need a surefire, step by step approach to creating a Blog Income Adam Woodham is the author of this article and lists the tips and tricks for creating and maintaining a Blog Income on his free resource website MoneyBlogs.Wordpress.com

By Adam Woodham
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Adam_Woodham

http://bisnisnet.blogspot.com
TopNetworkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06111479608837488698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-590121818401992080.post-32095885556037523952007-11-20T11:01:00.000+07:002007-12-28T17:42:18.640+07:00Click Fraud: Playing Dirty in the PPC WorldMarketers beware: the ever-expanding pay-per-click arena is attracting plenty of unscrupulous players. Click fraud, once considered a minor inconvenience, has become a major concern for advertisers and search marketers. Estimates of advertising dollars lost to click fraud run as high as $500 million per year.

Click fraud occurs when a person or computer program clicks on a PPC ad for the purpose of generating an improper charge. While computer programs, usually employing on-line robots, or “bots,” are hard to detect, illegitimate clicks made by workers hired to "click out" the competition are even more elusive.

A competitive spirit is behind some of the unethical behavior. Companies will click on a competitor’s ads to chew up his advertising budget or drive him out of a particular keyword market. Businesses with small budgets that bid on high-priced keywords especially are vulnerable: if a $40 keyword gets only one fraudulent click per day, the business stands to lose $1,200 per month - possibly their entire PPC budget.

Publishers and search-engine partners engage in click fraud to grab some easy money. Since these companies earn a percentage of PPC revenues from the sites they own and operate, they can make significant profits by piling up additional clicks on their own sites. Not surprisingly, schemes motivated by direct financial gain often involve a high degree of organization and sophistication.

No one has a quick fix for click fraud. Some activity is big enough to hurt a competitor or two, but too small to be statistically noticeable. New and better prevention and detection software comes to market all the time. For instance AdWatcher, a leading on-line monitoring service, offers a product called Fraud Blocker that sends warning messages to Internet locations logging an unusually high number of visits to their client’s site. While not foolproof, telling the fraudulent clicker his activity has been detected and reported is a powerful deterrent.

However, high-volume, computer-driven scams remain sufficiently random and seem to have the upper hand - at this point. Compounding the problem, search engines, who have more control over PPC technology than anyone, have little incentive to detect or prevent fraud. They do investigate fraud reports and attempt to match the reporter's data with their own to confirm it; however, their list of "alternative explanations" can be lengthy.

Despite the difficulties, PPC advertisers can watch for signs of click fraud, including:
Multiple clicks from a single IP address;
High click volume at a particular time;
Unusually high search activity on an expensive keyword, and
Clicks from parts of the world where business is not conducted.

Marketing lobbyists are fighting at the federal level for tighter policing of click fraud, but the effectiveness of potential legislation, if or when it occurs, is unknown. In the meantime, advertisers should connect with search-marketing firms that monitor their PPC data carefully and stay current with developments in fraud and fraud-prevention technology.

by Aaron Wittersheim
Aaron Wittersheim is president of Whoast Inc., a suburban Chicago search marketing firm. It is a known fact that search engine spiders from sites like Google and Altavista list new blogs much faster than they list new sites. However, it’s not as simple as just creating a blog and letting it sit there. You have to also use tactics like pinging, linking and the use of keywords. We’ll go over each so that you are able to effectively use your blog for a quick site listing. We’ll also briefly go over how to host your own blog on your site.

So how do I host my own blog, anyway?

The easiest way to do this is to install and run a blogging software from another company on your web site’s server. One such software that is popular is WordPress. It’s fairly easy to install and works pretty good on your site. Other blogging software options include:

Apache Roller
Blosxom
Geeklog
Textpattern
LifeType

Whatever one you choose, be sure to follow the instructions provided by the company so that the installation goes smoothly.

Where should I put my blog on my site?

Most people who host their blog to help their site get listed quickly don’t put the blog on the main page of the site, because the site isn’t all about the blog. Instead they put it in its own folder at mysite.com/blog/. But you can really put your blog anywhere on your site, so it’s your call.

What is pinging?
It’s a question that many ask, so don’t feel silly if you don’t know what pinging is. Pinging is essentially a tracking program installed on your blog that will notify the site which it is from whenever your blog is updated. Search engine spiders usually visit newly pinged sites most often, which is why pinging is such a crucial part of the equation to get your site listed quickly. Sites that are newly “pinged” will be visited by search engine spiders. A visit from the spider equals a listing on the search engine.

How do I get pinging on my blog?
You’ll have to register with a site that offers weblog pinging. The most popular pinging program around is weblogs.com. Other programs offered include Yahoo’s Blo.gs, BlogRolling, and Technorati. Once you’ve decided on a pinging service, you’ll have to follow the instructions to install it on your blog. When you’ve done that, your blog will start getting pinged and visited by search engine spiders.

What is linking?
Linking is basically having another blog or site link to your blog. When search engine spiders visit that site and see a link to your site, they’ll visit your site. Linking is effective both for sites with blogs and those without it.

How do I get linking?
You get it by visiting sites/blogs that are relevant to what your site is about. Then you contact the owners of those sites/blogs, asking them to post a link to your site on their site. In return, you will probably have to link to their site on your site. That way, both of you are able to benefit from the linking.

Why is the use of keywords important to my blog?
Spiders love to visit sites with a good amount of keywords. People who read your site won’t mind the use of keywords if they are lightly spread throughout the content of your pages. The key to this is to make a list of keywords relevant to your blog posting and then to try to use those keywords throughout your content. It is important to make sure, however, not to overuse keywords. Spiders have been trained to ignore sites with excessive amounts of keywords, so if you use a whole lot of keywords in the hopes of getting spiders to visit your site, it’s not going to do you any good. Generally speaking, using between 2-6 keywords per 200 word piece of content is a good ratio. It’s pleasing to both readers and search engine spiders.

That’s really all there is to it. Apply the above techniques to your blog and you will net your site a quick search engine listing.

There is no quicker way to get your site listed than to use a blog. So install a blog on your site today and you’ll be listed sooner than you could have imagined!

by Terry Detty
Terry Detty, 42, enjoys all aspects of internet marketing and getting out for a breath of fresh air occasionally. Trade links with other web sites. They should be related to the subject of your web site. Instead of trading links, you could also trade banner ads, half page ads, classified ads, etc.

2. Start an e-zine for your web site. When people read each issue they'll be reminded to revisit your web site. They'll see your product ad more than just once which will increase your orders.

3. Form an online community. It could be an online message board, e-mail discussion list or chat room. When people get involved in your community they will regularly return to communicate with others.

4. Write articles and submit them to e-zines, web sites and magazines that accept article submissions. Include your business information and web address at the end of the article.

5. Give away an electronic freebie with your ad on it. Allow your visitors to also give the freebie away. This'll increase your ad exposure and attract people to your web site at the same time.

6. Combine your products or services into one big package deal with other businesses offerings. You could share a web site and advertise the package deal; which means double the traffic.

7. Submit your freebie to the online directories that list your particular item or service for free. If you're offering a free e-zine, submit it to all the free e-zine directories on the internet.

8. Participate on message boards. Post answers to other people's questions, ask questions and post appropriate information. Include your signature file at the end of all your postings.

9. Exchange classified or sponsor ads with other free e-zine publishers. If there is a huge subscriber difference between e-zines, one can run more ads to make up for it.

10. From selling coffee to selling cars, you'll find hundreds of things that you have the opportunity to get into to make money. Yet, it is sad to report to you that on average, 70% of all new home based businesses will fail within the first three years that they are out there. Now, before you get discouraged, realize that they do this because of several reasons.

1. They are poorly executed, by individuals that are looking for a get rich quick scheme and realize that, well; it takes work to make money.

2. They are scams that were un-researched, poorly designed or just plain old dumb to start with.

3. The individuals that got into them didn't have the income to put into the business to make the business work.

With that said, there are some excellent things that you can do to actually make an income from home. You will likely need to invest something in it (you don't get something for nothing!) and you'll have to invest time in making it work well.

Here are some things that you can do in brief.

Affiliate Marketing

This is an easy to understand concept. You'll design a website that is geared at selling someone else's product. You get a cut for the sales that are made because someone that came to your website makes a purchase. Often, you get a kickback even if they just visit the site. This is one of many programs that you can usually do together to make even more money. In other words, pair it up with other business opportunities and you are sure to see some profit.

Selling Readymade Products

For those that are looking to sell a product that someone else has made, check out these. Often, these are sold by the development of a website that promotes the product. Things like digitalized products or software are very hot sellers. People come to your website to learn about the product and you sell it to them or provide a link to where they can purchase it. In most cases, you get a commission like payment for doing this.

Think you can't just sell products online anymore? You can. In fact, you'll even be able to find products that are below cost and sell them with a good mark up as well.

Writing And Selling Ebooks

People come to the internet to get information. Why not sell it to them? If you have knowledge (or can get it) about a topic that others want to learn about, you can easily tap into this business market. All you need to do is to write an ebook (or have it written by a professional) and market it. This can be done through eBay or through hundreds of other methods.

Joint Venture

You can often team up your sales with others that are selling the same or similar products. By working together, you can hit a larger amount of people and pull in more sales. A joint venture usually splits the commission made as well as the cost of doing business.

Ecourse

Are you able to teach an individual something? If so, then you should write up an ecourse. This is simply a series of emails, of website information or any other medium that is used to teach or coach an individual. You simply provide information they want and they pay you to do it.

Teleseminars

If you are a good speaker and have information to sell (or that you can obtain) then teleseminars are the way to go. You simply provide a conference call where individuals can call in and listen to what you are teaching them. Of course, they paid you first.

Public Domain Products

Little did you know that you could use material that is labeled as public domain to help enhance your business. Team this up with other types of marketing and you are sure to sell your product.

Directory or Review Websites

By creating websites where individuals go to receive a product or service, you are opening the door to making profits. Team this up with things like affiliate marketing and Google Adsense and you'll see an income.

Membership Sites

Develop a membership of individuals that are looking for your products or information. They will pay you monthly to use your service.

Ezines

One of the fastest growing ways of marketing on the web, you simply put together an online form of a magazine or newspaper and sell it. You can also give it away free and fill it with ads to your products or website campaign.

EBay

Learn how to make money on eBay one of the world's largest auction websites. You can make an income, not just a few dollars if you develop a campaign to do so.

Blogs

Blogs work well on websites. By providing information there about your products or attracting individuals back to your blog, you can promote the products on your website easier.

Google Adsense

Normally individuals pair up Google Adsense with other marketing campaigns to sell their products. This is a way of getting a few extra profits when individuals visit ads that are on your website.

Podcasting

In the digital age, people are looking to stay connected all the time. With podcasting, you can sell your product or service or you can actually build a casting such as a radio show that goes out around the world.

Amazon Book Reseller

If you have books lying around your house that you would like to get rid of, you can become listed on Amazon as a reseller. Unlike eBay this is not an auction site. It's a great way to sell books that you don't need. (You can also find free or really cheap ones to sell if you don't have any!)

Opinion Panels

Why not take a few surveys and make money? There are many survey websites on the web that do actually pay you a good deal of money to take them. Once you find them, its easy sailing here.

Conclusion

Making money online can happen. You have to make the right decision about doing so though. You'll need to find the business that fits into your life and your needs. Then, you'll need to learn how to do the business, what it takes and the tricks of the trade. If you can learn this, you can buy it to learn throughout the web. From a little stream to a full time income, the internet is full of ways you can make money.

by: keith Lee
About The Author
Keith Lee is a motivational speaker, a life coach and a fitness instructor for the past 10 yeras. Write at least five major “pillar” articles. A pillar article is usually a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good “how-to” lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn’t news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don’t have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be series about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need a easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that’s the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you’ve done a good job!).

7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people’s blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog. Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger’s article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it’s sort of like your blog telling someone else’s blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.
This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will likely come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival often enjoy a spike in new readers.
This concept can be confusing so I suggest you take a look at the Carnival of the Cats for an example. You can also find a list of all the carnivals and submit your articles at the Carnival Submit Form.

3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it’s so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it’s worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn’t bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it’s worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter. How you benefit is through what is called your “Resource Box”. You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I’ve listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won’t stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers. I hope you enjoyed my list of traffic tips. Everything listed above are techniques I’ve put into place myself for my blogs and have worked for me, however it’s certainly not a comprehensive list. There are many more things you can do. Finding readers is all about testing to see what works best for you and your audience and I have no doubt if you put your mind to it you will find a balance that works for you.

Yaro Starak
Blog Traffic King

http://bisnisnet.blogspot.com
TopNetworkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06111479608837488698noreply@blogger.com
